Bayan Beleq Ancient Mosque is a cultural heritage site located in Bayan District, North Lombok Regency. The mosque is an important historical site for understanding the early development of Islam on Lombok, particularly in the Bayan region. The mosque has a square floor plan supported by four main pillars, traditionally known as saka guru. Its structure incorporates traditional materials such as wood and bamboo, while its multi-tiered roof and distinctive rooftop ornament reflect architectural characteristics associated with early Indonesian mosques as well as the local architectural traditions of Bayan. Beyond its historical and architectural significance, the mosque remains closely connected to the customary and religious traditions of the Bayan community. Today, it is primarily used during certain religious and traditional ceremonies, including the traditional Maulid celebration and other important Islamic observances.
